Tandem paragliding in Lanzarote: three flights, €120 to €160, and the one that depends on the wind
Updated October 7, 2026 · 7 min read
The short answer: for most people, Lanzafly’s tandem paragliding over the volcanoes and the Atlantic is the one to book – €120 and a 5 out of 5 from 187 reviews, with three starting points so that a flight is possible on most days. The discovery flight at the same €120 has far fewer reviews. The action flight at €160 is for people who want wingovers and spirals, not for a first, gentle look at the island. All three are weather-dependent, and that is the thing to plan around.

What you are really buying
A tandem flight is short. The big offer lists a flight of 20 to 40 minutes, depending on the option you book, with 45 to 60 minutes in total including preparation. You check in 15 to 20 minutes before the flight at the launch site, get a safety briefing, helmet and harness, and a licensed pilot flies the wing. The page calls it perfect for beginners.
The offer runs from three starting points, and the exact one is confirmed by message 24 to 48 hours before the flight, by WhatsApp or email. That is the key to the whole product. A paragliding flight needs the right wind, and the operator moves you between launch sites and days to find it. The page is explicit that the flight is weather-dependent, that it is rescheduled or refunded if conditions are unsuitable, and that the operator does not change anything without speaking to you first.
So: do not book this for your last day, and do not book it for a day when you have a ferry to catch. Book it for day two or three of the week and leave the next day free.
The photos and video of the flight are part of some of the options on that page rather than all, so check the option you pick. One reviewer says the photo package is well worth it.

Who can fly, according to the booking pages
These limits differ between the three and they are the operators’ own.
- Lanzafly (€120, 20–40 minutes): welcome from 5 years, weight limit 120 kg, not suitable for pregnant women, wheelchair users or anyone with a cold. It asks for closed shoes, long trousers, a wind jacket and sunglasses. A reviewer reports flying with sons aged 15 and 12, and another says the operator worked hard on a windy day so that their young, lightweight daughter could fly.
- Discovery flight (€120): the page names no age or weight limit; it excludes alcohol and drugs and asks for closed shoes. Ask the operator for the limits before you book for a child or a heavy passenger.
- Action flight (€160): not suitable for children under 10; alcohol and drugs are not allowed, and the page says it is a private group.
If you have a medical concern, speak to your doctor before you book.
The discovery flight
The Discovery offer is quieter and cheaper than it looks: €120, 25 minutes of flight time (the page says between 25 and 30 depending on the wind), assisted take-off and a soft landing in a planned area. The meeting point is confirmed the day before, transport to it is not included, and it has 16 reviews with 4.8 out of 5. Its list of inclusions names no photographs or video.

The action flight
For €160 you get about 30 minutes with an acrobatic pilot: wingovers, spirals and tighter turns, with a GoPro video of the flight included. The intensity is adjustable – the page says you can ask for a gentle, medium or faster pace and the pilot will drop back to calm if you want. Only five reviews so far, all five stars.
Be honest with yourself about it. Wingovers and spirals feel like a fairground ride in the sky. If you get queasy in a car, take the gentle flight.

Getting there
The big offer lists hotel pickup and drop-off among its inclusions; the discovery flight does not include transport. If you are making your own way, you can price a hire car for the day, and our guide to doing Lanzarote without a car says what is practical. More active ideas are in things to do in Lanzarote.
Our recommendation
For most people: the €120 Lanzafly tandem flight – the most-reviewed, pickup included, three launch sites, and the only one that states both an age and a weight limit. Book it early in your stay.

If you want thrills: the €160 action flight, and only if you enjoy rides. Not for you if you are over the weight limit, pregnant, uneasy about heights or unable to be flexible about the day. A flight that moves is not a flight that is cancelled, but it can eat a free afternoon.
